About the Malthouse

The Malthouse was opened by Bob and Gerry in 1994 and since then they've grown a big following amongst foodies and drink connoisseurs alike. Winners of a number of awards the team strive to produce interesting, tasty pub fayre at a great price.

The Malthouse was originally used for making drinks, where grain was soaked to extract the malt.
Malt can be used to make beer, whisky and also vinegar.

Visitors are welcome to park in our large car park and of course to enjoy the pub garden and play area.
