Facilities

The Malthouse stands in 2 acres of grounds and occupies a commanding position in the delightful picturesque village of Alton. Safe private car parking is on site. We want you to enjoy your stay so that you will return year after year.

Bed and breakfast accommodation here means a comfortable bed and a hearty breakfast. We serve a choice of full English, vegetarian or vegan breakfasts and for guests with special dietary requirements we are pleased to offer gluten free or dairy free alternatives. Our breakfast will set you up for a visit to Alton Towers.

Breakfast is served in one of our traditional dining rooms from 8.15am to 9.00am.

Let us help you to make the occasion memorable. When booking your stay ask us for details of wine/flowers/cakes/balloons etc to surprise that special person.
 

On fine evenings you may wish to enjoy the outdoors. Sit overlooking our garden and just watch the world go by. Alternatively choose the seating in our family area with views of the orchard and fishpond.

The Malthouse is located in the heart of Alton village. Pubs/Restaurants are within easy walking distance, with the nearest being just 50 metres away!

Alton village has the benefit of a post office/newsagent, general store and hairdresser. On a walk around the village you will see places of worship, the village hall, a children’s play park, primary school, Alton Castle and the doctors' surgery.
